Speaker Bio
Ngozi Iroanyah is a 4th year PhD student at York University specializing in health policy and equity studies. Her research using an intersectional lens to understand the impact of dementia policy on racialized and immigrant communities in efforts to influence policy change. Her research is influenced by her lived experience with her father who was diagnosed with dementia in 2008 and lives with end stage dementia. She currently works as the manager of Diversity and Community Partnerships with the Alzheimer Society of Canada where she helps build connections with underresearched and underserviced communities to supports them on dementia awareness and prevention, caregiver support and health development and advocacy. She is a public speaker, advocate and program influence for people living with dementia. She currently lives in Mississauga and is a caregiver for her father
